I love these Old Hollywood inspired invitations we created recently for a client! Although the hardest part of my job is the psychological aspect -- trying to come up with designs based on limited information, and zero familiarity with a person's style or vision for their event, it feels so good when you knock it out of the park, which I think we did with these babies!
When we discussed her vision for her invitations, she said her colors were lavendar, silver, and black, and that she liked feathers and crystals. The first design we created is a book fold invitation embellished with satin ribbon, gorgeous lace trim, a fluffy black ostrich feather, and a sparkly Swarovski crystal.
The second invitation we designed as a possibility was also a bookfold invitation, printed with a custom damask print, and embellished with a feather and Swarovski crystal.
The damask was printed on metallic lavendar cardstock, and expertly cut to fit the face of the silver book fold invitation. Black satin ribbon was wrapped around and embellishments were added.
The interior was layered with a custom damask print and a crisp white text layer. They just make me want to put on a slinky dress and sip champagne at a fabulous soiree!
