Every year we create the fabulous invitations for a weekend charity event in Indianapolis, and this year we really hit the ball out of the park with this Ancient Egyptian Themed Box Invitation.  I think this may be the favorite for the year.  Of course I say that with every new design we come up with... but this one was just so fun and unexpected that it definitely hits the top of the list.

We created an Antique Gold taffeta box with a flip top lid, and embellished it with two adorned bookboard panels on the top, and fabulous Egyptian hieroglyph border around the width of the box.

Upon opening the box, you find a double-sided scroll invitation that was printed on handmade Lotka paper.  A subtle background graphic, hand torn edges, and repetition of the hieroglyph border gave the paper even more visual interest.

The interior floor of the invitation was covered with an informational insert, and the Lotka paper response card just finished the whole package.  And even though there is no bling to speak of... this invitation will remain a fave.  Love it!
