Silk And Satin Brocade Box Invitations... DIY style!

Silk and Satin Box DIY Invitations

So I am finally getting around to posting pics of these GORGEOUS invitations created by one of our clients.  She came to Revelry Invitation Studio for custom boxes to enhance her fabulous invitation idea.  She saw our exclusive satin brocade folio on our website and knew that fabric would be perfect.

The inspiration for her wedding was "Marie Antoinette hosts a Venetian Masquerade".  Each box was created using Baguette dupioni silk for the base and interior, and a gorgeous gold brocade satin for the lid.  We finished it off with a pink satin ribbon and a sparkling rhinestone buckle.

And what a fabulous invitation she created! Gorgeous gold papers, a custom ivory jacket, ostrich feather, satin ribbon, custom wax seal... what more could a girl want?  Great job Catherine!  And congrats on your wedding!

DIY Silk Invitations...with a little help

I was recently contacted by a doll of a bride in new York who wants to create her own wedding invitations. She contacted me initally because of our new addition to the Build Your Own Silk Invitation line: silk invitation holders, but wound up ordering two unembellished sample boxes, a set of silk panels like we use in our designs, and two invitation holders. This set off what one of my college profs would call a Blinding Flash of the Obvious. We already create gorgeous customized affordable invitations, but perhaps there are brides out there who really do want to put their own mark on their invites, so to speak, and just want the silk supplies to set the foundation for their own unique creations. With this in mind, we are currently working on creating a DIY Build Your Own Silk Invitation section, where you can purchase silk panels for invitations and enclosures, unadorned silk boxes, and silk invitation holders at affordable prices. These foundation pieces should be available for sale within the week, so check it out!
