So I am going to make a conscious effort to be more blog-happy.  And toward that endeavor, I thought I'd post a little inspiration.  I am in love with deep purple this season (I even redecorated my bedroom... from just boring dark grey to dark grey with deep purple... yum!) But I digress.  Deep purple is a perfect color for the season, and mixed with a pop of orange you have a sexy, sultry, high-impact combo that can't be beat for fall!

Okay... so I love virtually everything that goes out the door here at the studio, and these gorgeous eggplant and gold jacquard folio invitations are no exception.  I think I say each new piece we create is my favorite of the year... but these really are :)

These were created for a doll of a bride who contacted us with dreams of a couture Hollywood-inspired wedding.  In her initial inquiry she said she just really wanted something unique and different.  Well, you came to the right place!  Drawn to romantic, opulent styling, sparkly embellishments, and bold patterns, this was one of my first sketches for this project, and she fell in love immediately.

Combining a gorgeous, strong jacquard with soft Vegas purple dupioni silk and touches of sparkling rhinestones and opulent gold embossed ink, this invitation was a true show stopper!

I LOVE the gold embossing!  We created custom printing plates with this fabulous damask design and hand-printed each enclosure card and the invitation with gold raised ink.  The work was tedious, but the results are amazing!  Love, Love, Love!  And of course, the little details, from the rich gold satin corner pockets, to the Antique Gold response envelope, to the tiny magnetic closure are what make a stunning invitation super fab.  And I do believe, if the mark is super fab... we have hit it with this lovely :)
