NEW!!! Hand Painted Invitations from Revelry Invitation Studio!

Hand Painted Invitations
Hand-Painted Peony Invitation

I am super excited about these hand-painted invitation mock-ups we created yesterday! Not only because I think they have fabulous potential, but because it is so out-of-the-box for us!  These gorgeous hand colored Peony invitations were inspired by a potential client who mentioned in a consultation that one of the flowers she would be using were peonies (and you know how gaga we are over those).

Each flower starts off with a Persian Blue embossed outline, and then each petal is filled and shaded, by hand, using a combination of artist chalks and pencils.  The petal tips and outlines are filled in with a gold ink.

This design is the first "rough draft" if you will for what will eventually become a custom pocket folder invitation.  A hand painted layered peony or monogram seal will complete the exterior.  The flowers are so reminiscent of the kinds of patterns you'd find on a fancy tea cup from the 1940's.  Love!!

The interior invitation has two embossed peonies with gold ink detail, and chalk and pencil coloring.
Now that I have gone out on the limb, I have to say... I can't wait to explore this new-to-me invitation style.  Perhaps soon you will see a hand-colored line on our website.  Stay tuned!

Shana And Travis's Wedding

I am so excited to share some of the fab photo's of my girl Shana's gorgeous resort wedding. Not only was it gorgeous, it looked like hella fun! Congrats guys!!!

The dudes hit the pool before the ceremony...

He was pretty excited to see her for the first time (who wouldn't be... she's stunning!!)

Lovely!  White on white... my fav!

Love the color she chose... a gorgeous indigo with gold accents for the reception.  Love!

Here's my favorite!  The menus (of course by Revelry Invitation Studio) mirror the invitations with tons of layers in gorgeous Persian Blue and Gold.  The invitations had a custom damask pattern embossed on them... we had to use a cake stencil to make it work.  We shared that with the bride, who then ordered the same stencil to use on her cake.  And I must say, it is too pretty to eat!!!

I love that the band was the "spasmatics" and I LOVE, LOVE that everyone spazzed out on the dance floor!  Looks like a fabulous wedding for a fabulous couple!
