Chic and Elegant Pocketfold Invitation

Chic and Modern Embellished Pocketfold Invitation
Hot Pink And Silver Embellished Pocketfold Invitation

I am a fan of all things sparkly (big news there, huh :) and am a girly girl thru and thru.  So I LOVED creating these gorgeous Azalea embellished pocketfold invitations for a fabulous bride from the NJ.  It takes a bold gal to pull off such show stopping colors, and I think we totally hit the mark with these!

The finished look is chic and elegant, with a shimmery Azalea pocketfold wrapped in sumptuous silver satin ribbon finished with a touch of sparkle in a rhinestone buckle.

Custom Letterpress Pocketfold Invitation

One more for the gallery... although I haven't updated our online gallery in ages.  This is a definite must add.  We created this gorgeous custom pocketfold invitation with custom letterpress bellyband for a fabulous bride in the NY area.  Working with her neutral color palate of Ivory, Gold, and Champagne, we created a masterpiece with just enough metallic sparkle and a major emphasis on graphic "wow".

We created two versions during the proofing process. One in an antiquey gilver (a kind of goldish-silver) and a brassier gold, each with a different letterpress design on the jacket.  She ultimately chose the gilver option with the vine design down the front.

The bellyband was crafted from a pearlescent ivory metallic stock with a digital cutting machine with a cut-out that mirrored the bracket shape used throughout the invitation. The letterpress vine design was applied once cutting was complete.  I love how the monogram (printed directly on the jacket cover) peeks out perfectly through the negative space in the bellyband.

The interior of the jacket was decked out with a custom pocket, digitally cut with the bracket shape, and letterpressed with a flourishy vine design.  The simple detail of the gilver letterpress vine border at the top of the invitation card and enclosures created just the perfect amount of pizazz, while keeping the overall design elegant and effortless (looking ;)

I love how the pressed metallic ink has an aged look... rather than a really crisp solid color imprint.  This was a goal, and was not easy to acheive.

A view without the bellyband shows just the jacket detail... both flat printed and letterpressed.  This invitation is perfect for weddings or christenings.  Love it!

Embossed Pocketfold Invitation

Embossed Pink and White Pocketfold Invitation

I think I have pink on the brain.  Our company is remodeling... new staff, a new look, a new line of invitations (all to be launched in November... yay!!).  And pink plays a big part in our revamp, so what better way to kick it off than by showing these delightful Hot Pink and White embossed pocketfold invitations we did for a lovely Aussie lass, married in Queensland this summer?  No better way, I tell you! :)

The design was inspired by a white on white embossed pocketfold invitation we had done as a tester for retail marketing, and our client loved the look... but needed a little extra punch to make it really hers.  Not hard to do with her fabulous color scheme.

The exterior of an otherwise ho-hum white pocketfold was hand-embossed with a swirly print using a custom-mixed pearlescent Azalea raised ink.

The pocket was sealed with a three layer monogram seal composed of pearlescent white stock, Azalea pearlescent stock and a matte white text layer.  Not to leave any detail unaccounted for, velcro was used to ensure no tearing when the pocket was opened.  Love that ;)

During the proofing phase, we created a couple options for layering.

Given the option of Silver, Azalea, or Pearlescent White for layering, she ultimately choose to keep the whole thing streamlined, using just the Azalea as the punch color.

Deco inspired Letterpress Invitations

It seems like it's been forever since I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Katie Olson (Laughridge), owner and writer-editor of Wedding Fanatic... a blog that if you haven't checked out yet, you should march right over (after ogling her invitation pics here, of course ;)  Katie contacted me after I sent a cheeky Facebook message about ordering invitations once I had heard she was getting married.  Surprisingly, she called right away and we began working (happily) together instantaneously.

We discussed her vision and the look he was hoping to achieve.  She was totally inspired by her reception site, The Grand Reserve in Kansas City, which is actually on old Federal Reserve Bank building. She said she was going for an elegant, deco-y kind of vibe.  As is my usual M.O., I asked for some inspiration photos.  She sent over a collection of photos, including the venue shots below.

When I opened the attachment of the last photo, I saw this...

A close-up of these gorgeous federal blue and gold medallions.  And Bam!  I had what I was looking for.

I knew Katie wasn't my typical client.  She wasn't really interested in lots of bling, or embellishments; she didn't really have a penchant for silk boxes or out-of-the-ordinary presentations.  She wanted a classic, clean, very unique invitation that would reflect her very special day.  And I found it in these medallions.  After blowing up the images, and doing all kinds of digital manipulation (with some hand-drawing thrown in for the Luddite in me) I finally wound up with the extracted design we would use as the foundation for her invitation suite.

Armed with this, we created this beautiful letterpress suite...

I love the little sparkle added by the Swarovski crystals.  I have said before, and I'll say it again... it ain't mine if it don't shine :)

It is really the details that make an invitation suite go from "Oh, how pretty" to "Wow, that is gorgeous!" and the fabulous envelope liner that brought the medallion home I think was one of those totally unexpected "Wow" elements.  Love!

Katie had A LOT of directions to share.  From the hotels to the church, from the church to the reception site, and from the reception site back to the hotels... a single direction card was just not going to cut it.  So we created these adorable (and super useful) direction booklets.  Guests could just page through to find their next stop.  Easy peasy.

We used the same whimsical font used in her Save-The-Dates, and added a little bit of refinement by having them letterpressed.  I LOVE the gray color she chose... GORGEOUS!

This was such a fun project to work on!  I love being able to create something totally unique to a couple, and I think we did just that with these beauties.   Yay!

Midnight Garden Wedding Invitations

Inspired Wedding Invitations

Revelry Invitation Studio, LLC  ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

We've done it again!  Hit the nail on the head!  Wowed the pants off the invitees!  And most importantly, put a smile ear-to-ear on a lovely bride-to-be's gorgeous face.  "Love.  Love, LOVE" is what they had to say (sounds like something that would come out of my very own mouth, but this time I was on the receiving end of the compliment ;)  Makes the sleepless nights all worthwhile.  And there have been A LOT lately!  We're busier than ever in the studio with no end in sight. I do believe I won't get a day of rest until my maternity leave in Early October!  But I couldn't be happier, or feel more blessed.  I am a lucky girl to have such great clients who put so much faith in my work.

One of those fabulous clients inspired these gorgeous "Midnight Garden" invitations.  What a doll!  And although we had a hard time really characterizing her vision for her special day, I accidentally summed it up with "Midnight Garden".  And that is exactly perfect.

During my consultations, I always encourage my clients to send photos that inspire the overall look of their event. Although my client sent these to give me an idea of the color she loved, I was inspired as much by the background as I was the BM dress.

The ensemble included a cushioned dupioni silk panel with a 2-layer invitation, the fabulous rose wrap, and matching enclosures.

Gorgeous handmade parchment roses and delicate (but virtually impossible to find) crystal floral spray decked out the iridescent chocolate grosgrian ribbon wrap.

And the whole shabang was finished with gold paper wrap, an ivory satin ribbon and a fabulous 3-layer card stock address seal.

The hardest part of the whole design was figuring out the perfect flourishes to flank the monogram.  Below are a couple other options we came up with.

We'll be using the chosen monogram in all her accessory pieces as well (programs, place cards, menus, and my favorite... the guest book)!  That guest book is going to be totally decked out in crystals and parchment roses, Raisin dupioni silk, and splashes of gold.  I Can't Wait!!!
