I have baby on the brain. Baby, Baby, Baby!  So I thought I would pull out some of the unique designs we have done in the past that celebrate the birth of new little ones.  Birth announcements, you say?  Yep.  A one-trick-pony we are not.  Although the bulk of our business has been dominated by luxury events and weddings, we have been known to dabble in other momentous occasions as well.

Fabulously Elegant Velvet Invitations

Custom Velvet Folio and Velvet Box Invitations

It has been so long and I miss my little blog so much!  It has been wicked crazy here in the studio this summer, and I feel super blessed.  Usually by this time we have started to slow down, but this year, the business is booming and I can't give enough "THANKS!!!" to my clients!  This is one of our most recent samples to go out.  Inspired by the quintessential uber-elegant black tie affair, this sumptuous velvet folio invitation screams luxury.

The interior of this custom velvet folio is lined on the left with black velvet and on the right Black moire.  Antique Gold paper frames the matte cream text layer.  A single layer card stock response set is included for each guest so all attendees can be sure to receive the correct entree at the reception. Of course I can't let anything out of the studio without a little sparkle, so this folio invitation is embellished with 3 Swarovski crystals.

The bride also wanted the option of sending envelope mailable invitations, but still wanted the same elegance and textual appeal of the folio.  We created this black velvet cushioned back invitation pad with black moire on the invitation side as a solution.  Not what you'd expect to come out of your everyday wedding envelope, am I right?  Love it!

And of course, she fell in love with the simple elegance of our signature Garden Peony box invitation.  We modified the traditional silk box and created instead a luxurious black velvet box and embellished it with a gorgeous silk peony bloom.

Since her color scheme is so classic, we wanted to be sure to give her two options for the invitation itself, a cream dupioni silk backed invitation with black satin ribbon, and a black moire backed invitation with cream satin ribbon.  She is a huge fan of the moire fabric, so we lined the interior of the box with that as well. I can't get enough of these peony silk box invitations!  Love, Love, Love!!!

Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend Themed Sweet 16 Invitations

Embellished Silk Pocket Invitations

Revelry Invitation Studio, All Rights Reserved

These are some of the most fabulous invitations to leave the studio in a while.  We created these invitations for a Sweet 16 party with a Diamond's Are A Girls Best Friend theme.  I think we tackled the diamond part... we used over 9000 Swarovski crystals on this project!

Each invitation was creafted using Stardream crystal stock, glitter paper, and shiny greeting card stock.  Embellished with satin ribbon and a sparkling rhinestone buckle, the invitations were then placed in a dupioni silk pocket holder covered with crystals.

Vintage Inspired Embossed Pocketfold Invitations

I have been itching for weeks, nay, months to show off the fabulous vintage rocker-inspired invitations we created for an awesome bride who just got married this Saturday!  Shana was so fabulous to work with, and had such a neat vision for her special day (and all the accessories).  She came to me and said her colors were dark blue hues and antique gold, that she liked brocade, that she woud characterize her wedding as vintage rocker-inspired, and her element of inspiration was wrought iron.

After going through several concepts including satin brocade invitations, burn-out velvet invitations, even hand flocked invitations; we finally came up with this fabulous gritty gold embossing.  Lots of sparkle with just enough edge.

We created two versions, one with the embossing on the front (as shown above) and one that incorporated an embossed belly band and a monogram seal.  Her monogram was used throughout the event, and she definitely wanted it incorporated in the stationery.  We embossed the interior of this pocketfold invitation, which created one of the most unique backdrops for an invitation I have seen.

Once Shana received her two mock-ups, she decided she loved the damask embossed print on the exterior, but wanted the monogram seal instead of the rhinestone buckle. She loved the opulence of the damask print, so we incorporated that into the invitation and enclosures.

We created a custom damask print paper, and layered it with a deep Persian Blue and Gold Leaf stocks.  The invitation itself was flat printed on shimmery Opal stock, giving the inks a metallic appearance. That's a great trick for DIY brides who don't want to spend $500 on thermography... just print brown or grey on metallic stock and it will look like shimmery ink ;)

We also created custom wedding programs, menus, table numbers, and place cards to match.  We created a custom stamp with her monogram and wedding date so we could incorporate the same embossing technique on her programs.
