Velvet and Bling... what a way to celebrate a Milestone Birthday!

Velvet Pocketholder Invitations

Going through our portfolio of items we have yet to share, I found these adorable velvet pocketholder invitations we created for a fabulously joyful 75th birthday celebration planned by

Wennifer Donald of First Impressions Event Planning Co. in Hotlanta.

The theme for the event was Top Hats and Tiaras, and Ms. Louise loves bling... so we found this adorable sparkling tiara brooch to embellish her invitation.

The whole ensemble was packaged in a shiny black gloss mailer box, wrapped with red satin ribbon, and sent on their way. Love!

Fabulous Lace Slide Invitations

Lace Slide Silk Invitation

So I have been a really bad blogger! It seems like forever since I have posted something new... I have almost forgotten how to do it ;) But I am going to try to take some time this week to share some of the fabulous invitations that have left the studio over the past few months,

starting with this GORGEOUS lace and dupioni silk slide invitation

we created as part of a sample package for a doll of a bride we are working with.

We created a rigid silk backer panel and added a lace band in the front.

The lace was hand-dyed (using coffee... go green, right :)

and embellished with a small rhinestone and satin ribbon.

The two layer invitation was printed on shimmery Quartz cardstock.

I just love, love, love this invitation!

And although the couple ultimately choose a different (albeit equally fabulous) invitation suite from the collection, I am sure glad I got the opportunity to create this one.

Garden Peony Silk Box

Garden Peony Silk Boxes shipping out of the studio today. I just love these things! They make me so happy to look at. And even though I think all the invitations we send out are stupendous, these just make me smile for the day. We've done a couple versions in the past...

The Navy Garden Peony Silk Box with iridescent green ribbon...

Pink and blue for a Sweet Sixteen...

Our Signature Silk Box. "The Original"... the one that started it all :)

A Cactus Flower invitation for a (you guessed it) desert wedding.

And although this isn't a box, it was originally inspired by "The Original" Garden Peony Silk Box. I love the crystal floral spray and the handmade paper roses. Gorg!
